FRIENDLY INTERNATIONAL – U18 RSC 6-1 ROYAL COLLEGE, COLOMBO SRI LANKA – 7 JULY 2019

RSC U18 played a friendly match against the visiting Sri Lanka Champions Royal College, Colombo at RSC Bukit Kiara. The match was delayed due to a heavy shower in the morning. After the  pitch was declared playable, the match kicked off at 9.30 am.

Both teams struggled to play on the wet pitch, but it was RSC who managed to adapt the wet conditions first. In the 18thminute, RSC won a free kick on the edge of the penalty box. Off the free kick, Tylan Kanagarajah curled the ball into the top right corner to beat Royal College’s goalkeeper for our first goal! 2 more goals from Afiq Ehsan & Saurav Singh ensured that we took a 3-0 lead. Royal College won a penalty and scored to make the score 3-1 at halftime.

In the second half, RSC made some substitutions and maintained the tempo without giving any ground to our opponents. The match was robust and engaging with both sides not giving any quarter. RSC had more possession and controlled the match. RSC scored 3 more goals by Tylan, Mugen Saravanan & Kabilen Vijendran to make the end result, RSC 6-1 Royal College Sri Lanka.
